7 LX Design

The Learning Experience Design team strives to enhance the student experience by taking a learner-centered approach to course design. Using current research on instructional pedagogies, asynchronous engagement, educational equity, and accessibility, the team collaborates with a wide variety of groups at the University to create an academic community in which students can:

  • engage with diverse materials and learning activities;

  • make meaningful connections between course concepts and lived experiences;

  • collaborate with their fellow learners and expert mentors; and

  • customize their educational experience.

Watch the video below to learn more.

Our LX Design process includes:

  • Customized program and course project intake questions geared toward discovering LX opportunities.
  • LX Team meetings to review program build requests and specific course design issues.
  • SME Education about LX Design Opportunities, including this LX Design Checklist and an Engaging Activities menu of choices.
